We are excited to announce an upcoming meeting for all PYP, MYP, and DP Coordinators. This will be a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow coordinators, share insights, and discuss key issues relevant to your program. During the meeting, there will be dedicated time for each program group to dive into discussions about challenges, successes, and any topics important to you and your colleagues.

Additionally, the general association will gather to discuss matters that affect all IB programs, and we invite you to bring ideas on how the association can better support you. Your input is crucial as we explore ways to enhance our collective efforts in meeting the diverse needs of our IB community.

Transforming to the New IB Visual Arts Curriculum

The workshop will cover the key changes in the updated syllabus that will start in the fall of 2025. The SSS subject-specific seminars will begin in February 2025, and the Subject Guide, the first examination of 2027, will be published in February. I will give a quick review and or questions on the present subject guide. 
Presenter Sandy Stewart
Sandy Stewart brings an impressive wealth of experience and qualifications to the workshop, positioning her as a credible and inspiring leader in the realm of IB visual arts education. Currently serving as the Head of the Visual Arts Department at King’s Edgehill School in Windsor, Nova Scotia, she teaches visual arts from Grade Eight through to Grade Twelve, including both Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) IB programs. With a distinguished career as an IB examiner since 1995 and over 15 years as a workshop leader facilitating Category 1, 2, and 3 workshops, Sandy has been deeply immersed in the evolving landscape of IB education since 1990. Her academic credentials, which include a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Education (BEd), and a Master of Art Education (MAAE) with a specialization in Art Education and Art Therapy, further underscore her expertise. Sandy is not only committed to teaching but also to enhancing the educational journeys of fellow educators, making her insights invaluable for those engaged in IB programs.
